SLA’s history has been, and continues to be, a process of change, growth, and expansion  but above all innovation, adaptation and response to changing client needs and the market on which it operates...

When SLA Studio Legale Associato was founded, it aimed above all to provide a full service for its corporate Italian clients and niche French client practice. The Firm was therefore born with an international flavour and has since then continued its innovative approach to the presence of foreign qualified lawyers and skilled linguists, able to understand a foreign client’s specific needs and the legal system and background from which they hail. The Firm presently includes French, German, British & Commonwealth, and Spanish lawyers.

A further and vital step in professional development was taken when the Firm took the innovative step of introducing a full scale accounting practice within its walls to provide a one-stop shop for the client seeking something more than a purely legal series of considerations, and requiring on-going fiscal advice and services. The experiment proved successful, and SLA remains one of a somewhat limited number of dual-profession associations.

The success was recognised by the UK firm of Osborne Clarke when it offered SLA the valued opportunity of becoming the sole Italian member of the international Osborne Clarke Alliance comprising law firms with bases in 18 European cities and the US, and over 550 professional staff. Again, results have been positive for SLA, the OC Alliance, and one trusts, the client, which is, in the final analysis, the real aim of all concerned.
